You can say Jordyn Sugar is “Good In Her Shoes” and some of the Pop World’s leading voices have taken notice. This Toronto born Singer, Songwriter, and Multi-Instrumentalist has garnered attention from the likes of Justin Bieber, Backstreet Boy A.J. McClean, and Celine Dion’s former Manager and Executive Producer Vito Luprano. Jordyn makes it a point to rail against society’s unrealistic standards, particularly related to Fashion, Beauty, and Body Image. She’s been preaching that message since launching her first single Leaves Me 18 months ago. 

Leaves Me received over 300,000 views on YouTube as well as rotation on Virgin Radio. Her second release Summer High had 400,000 streams across all platforms. Jordyn’s third release Good in My Shoes was released in October 2022 and in addition to becoming a huge Indie hit, it was also chosen as the theme for the Reality Franchise “The Fashion Hero”. Her fourth song Stranger dropped in early January 2023 and it has continued to build on her string of hits. But it is clear that the best is ahead for Jordyn. Jordyn is more than an artist; she is representing a movement. 

Jordyn was born with the Beat. She started playing Drums at age 3 and over the next 10 years she picked up a Guitar, taught herself Piano, and ultimately found her voice in her early teens. While refining her music in her basement, things really started taking off in 2021 when she caught the attention of Justin Bieber who inspired her on Instagram to pursue her goal of being a world class singer. Soon after, she was discovered by Celine Dion’s former Executive Producer and former SVP of A&R of Sony Music Vito Luprano who helped her develop her unique vocal style and tone. 

That same year she was selected to be the host of the second season of The Fashion Hero Kids. The Fashion Hero series, hosted by Backstreet Boy AJ McLean, will showcase twenty-two diverse contestants as they compete in a bid to “break traditional standards and define a new kind of beautiful”. The series has just been renewed for a third season and Jordyn will be playing an even more prominent role after taking on the newly created role of TikTok Correspondent. 

Jordyn is a revelation among today’s derivative pop singers. She is a throwback to the empowered 90s and early Millennial Female Singer Songwriters. She is also both a reaction and a response to the social media revolution of the last 20 years.
